The METU-DTX Project Closing Ceremony and Industry Day was successfully held on October 8, 2025, at the METU Culture and Convention Center, with the participation of representatives and stakeholders from academia, public institutions, and industry.
The event began with opening speeches by Prof. Dr. Hüsnü DAL, Head of the METU-DTX Center; representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Technology; Mr. Bülent ÖZCAN, Director General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation at the Directorate for EU Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Mr. Ahmet Halit HATİP, Director General for EU and Foreign Affairs at the Ministry of Industry and Technology; and Prof. Dr. Ahmet YOZGATLIGİL, President of METU. Following the speeches, Prof. Dr. Hüsnü DAL presented plaquets to the distinguished speakers.
In the following session, Prof. Dr. Hüsnü DAL and Mehmet KÜRÜMLÜOĞLU from Fraunhofer IAO shared the project’s outcomes and future plans.
The panel titled “METU-DTX Success Stories: Lessons Learned and Next Steps”, moderated by Prof. Dr. Hüsnü DAL, brought together key stakeholders from the industry. Representatives from AKSAN, BÜYÜTECH, CAVO, Altan Hidrolik, YAMAS, IHI Dalgakıran, TİTAN Makina, and TERMO ISI shared their experiences from the project and discussed potential collaboration opportunities for the future.
The program continued with the award ceremony and the official closing of the project. Participants also visited the METU-DTX Center, where they had the opportunity to explore the facilities, equipment, and ongoing applications. The day concluded with a cocktail reception that provided an excellent networking platform for participants.
The Closing Ceremony not only marked the successful completion of the METU-DTX Project but also celebrated the cooperation among academia, industry, and public institutions.
